Yes. The same fragrance oils we use in our perfume range go into the candles, at a high concentration. Most customers notice the scent within a few minutes of lighting - the wood wick helps here because it melts the wax across a wider surface area than a cotton wick, which pushes more fragrance into the room faster.

Room size matters: a single candle works well in a bedroom, bathroom, or mid-sized living room. For a large open-plan space, two candles or supplementing with a reed diffuser will give you a more even scent throughout.

Two practical reasons. Wood wicks burn wider than cotton, which creates a larger melt pool and distributes fragrance more evenly across the room. They also burn cleaner - less soot, less mushrooming at the tip.

The crackling sound is a side effect rather than the point, but most people find it a decent bonus.

Up to 25 hours of burn time. Because the fragrance load is high, you don't need to burn it for hours to notice the effect - 45 minutes to an hour is usually enough to fragrance a room, after which you can extinguish it and let the residual warmth carry the scent for a while longer.

The first burn is the most important one. Let the candle burn until the melted wax reaches the edge of the glass - this usually takes 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the diameter. If you extinguish it before the wax has fully pooled to the edges, it will tunnel down the middle on subsequent burns and you'll lose a significant amount of usable wax.

Before each relight, trim the wood wick by gently pinching off the burnt black portion - a clean wick gives you a steadier flame and reduces any smoking. A wick trimmer works well for this, but fingers are fine once the wax has fully cooled.

This candle is ridiculous…..it’s so good you will “Slap your Mama!”. So, going back to the order…this is my 4th candle, mainly because they last for an absolute eon and smell blooming marvellous even when unlit. The box arrived with one of the candles broken. I sent a message and I awoke to confirmation of a delivery to replace the broken one, no issues just good old fashioned excellent customer service. Lovely reader…..be like me…just buy one and even if this isn’t you ( what is WRONG with you!). There are many magnificent other aromas to choose from and annoy your bestie, then gift those….Yay 444!
