Who We Are (The Brand)

Tell me about your store?

We are The Essence Vault, and we are the "Robin Hood of Fragrance." Our mission is simple: To democratise luxury fragrance. We recreate the scent profiles of the world’s most iconic perfumes (inspired by the greats) but strip away the celebrity endorsements and fancy bottles.

What you get is premium, high-concentration Eau De Parfum—made in the UK, 100% Vegan, and Cruelty-Free—for the price of a round of drinks, not a bank loan.

Is this store owner operated?

Yes. We aren't a faceless corporation; we are built on passion. Our founder, Connor, started TEV with mixing bowls in his bedroom because he was tired of being priced out of his favourite scents. Today, we are a global brand, but that original independent spirit drives everything we do.

Why are The Essence Vault fragrances so much cheaper than designer brands?

We focus on the "juice," not the marketing fluff. Traditional designer perfumes have high markups due to celebrity endorsements and crystal bottles. We strip those costs away and use premium ingredients (often matching or exceeding the inspiration) to give you a luxury scent experience without the luxury price tag.

Are "inspired by" fragrances the same as fakes or counterfeits?

Absolutely not. We do not sell fakes. We create our own unique formulations inspired by iconic scent profiles (like Aventus® or Lost Cherry®). We sell them in our signature minimal packaging under our own brand. We are transparent about the inspiration, but we never claim to be the original manufacturer.

What brands are sold in this store?

The short answer is: Just us. We don't stock other brands; we are the brand. Every single bottle you see here is a The Essence Vault exclusive, expertly blended and bottled right here in the UK.

Do you sell second-hand or pre-owned articles?

No way! That’s a hard pass from us. Every single bottle of The Essence Vault is brand new, factory fresh, and sealed.

Because we are the manufacturer, we don't deal in used goods. For strict hygiene and safety reasons, we would never sell a perfume that has been opened or sprayed by someone else.

What countries do you ship to?

We are taking over the world, one scent at a time! Currently, we ship our UK-made fragrances to:

Good News for EU Customers: We ship strictly "Duties Paid." This means no surprise customs fees at your door—just your new favourite perfume.

Do you offer free shipping?

To keep our fragrance prices as low as possible (the "Smart Choice"), we don't hide shipping costs inside the bottle price. Instead, we keep our postage rates transparent and affordable so you only pay for exactly what you get. Here is a quick breakdown of our tracked shipping options:

  • 🇬🇧 UK: Standard via EVRI (£2.45) or Express via Royal Mail (£4.65).
  • 🇮🇪 Ireland: Standard via An Post (from €2.99).
  • 🇺🇸 USA: Standard via FedEx ($10.99) or Express ($13.00).
  • 🇪🇺 EU: Standard via DPD (from €5.99).

Note: We cannot currently deliver to PO Boxes or Alaska.

What shipping options and policies do you offer?

We offer fast, fully tracked shipping worldwide:

  • 🇬🇧 UK: Standard (EVRI, 2-3 days) or Express (Royal Mail Tracked 24, 1-2 days).
  • 🇺🇸 USA: Standard (3-7 days) or FedEx Express (3-5 days).
  • 🇪🇺 Europe: DPD or An Post (Duties Paid!).

The Policies: We aim to dispatch within 24 hours. Every order is tracked. We cannot currently ship to PO Boxes or Alaska.

Can I cancel or change my order?

You need to be lightning fast! ⚡ We process orders almost immediately.

We can only cancel or edit your order if it hasn't started processing in our warehouse yet. Email help@theessencevault.co.uk immediately with the subject line "URGENT: CANCEL ORDER [Your Order #]".

Do you offer local pickup?

No, currently we do not offer a click-and-collect service. Our warehouse is a busy production site, so we are online-only for safety reasons.

Product & Scent Knowledge

How long do The Essence Vault perfumes last?

We formulate for endurance. All our fragrances are Eau De Parfum (EDP) concentration (typically 15-20% oil). For maximum impact, our "Intense" range offers an even higher concentration for "beast mode" projection and longevity.

Do I need to let my perfume macerate (mature)?

Because our perfumes are freshly blended, letting the bottle sit in a cool, dark place for a few weeks can allow the oils to blend and deepen, making the scent even smoother and stronger. It's like a fine wine—it gets better with time.

Why can't I smell my perfume after a few minutes?

If you stop smelling your scent but others can still smell you, you are likely experiencing "Olfactory Fatigue" (Nose Blindness).

The Fix: Don't overspray! Spray on pulse points and avoid spraying directly under your nose to keep the scent alive for your own nose.

Why does it smell of alcohol when I first spray it?

This is normal for high-concentration EDP. The alcohol is the carrier. Insider Tip: Never judge a scent by the first sniff. Spray it on your skin, wait 30 seconds for the alcohol to evaporate, and then smell the true heart of the fragrance.

My perfume sprayer isn't working. How do I fix it?

Don't panic! Sometimes a new bottle needs "priming." Pump the sprayer firmly 10–15 times. If it’s still stuck, remove the nozzle cap, run it under warm water to clear any dried oil, dry it, and pop it back on.

How should I store my perfume?

Heat, light, and humidity are the enemies. Never store perfume in the bathroom! Keep your bottles in a cool, dark place (like a bedroom drawer) to keep them fresh for 3–5 years.

Ethics & Sustainability

Are your perfumes vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes, always. We have a Zero Tolerance policy. We do not test on animals, we do not sell in countries that require animal testing, and we use safe synthetics to replace animal-derived notes like Musk. It is 100% guilt-free luxury.

What are your sustainability practices?

We believe looking good shouldn't cost the Earth. We are Made in the UK (reducing carbon footprint from shipping), we use recyclable glass bottles, and we strip away the excessive plastic packaging used by designer brands.

Returns, Payments & Account

What is the return policy?

We offer a 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee. If you don't love it, return it (in original condition) for a full refund. Email help@theessencevault.co.uk to start the process.

Do you allow customers to manage their own returns?

We prefer the personal touch. We handle returns manually via our support team to ensure the quickest resolution. Just drop us an email.

Do you accept store credit?

Yes! But you must be logged in to use it. Log into your account, fill your basket, and you will see the option to apply your credit at checkout.

Do you offer bulk or wholesale orders?
